A city government in Orange County is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Senior Accountant I to join its dynamic Finance Department. Under the direction of the Director of Finance or Finance Manager, the Senior Accountant I will play a key role in managing the City's financial integrity through professional accounting, reporting, and internal controls.

Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Three (3) or more years of professional accounting experience
- Government or municipal accounting experience preferred
Skills & Knowledge:
- Thorough knowledge of fund accounting, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting
- Familiarity with GASB, GAAP, and public sector audit standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly
- Proficiency in financial software and Excel
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
