Job Requirements
Knowledge & Education:
- Bachelor s degree in recreation, public/business administration, or a related field
- Expertise in administrative principles, strategic planning, program development, and project management
Skills & Abilities:
- A creative, flexible mindset and passion for solving problems in new ways
- Ability to design innovative programs and balance structured and drop-in opportunities
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- A track record of launching successful programs and improving existing services
- Strong fiscal management, organizational, and public engagement abilities
Experience & Certifications:
- At least 6 years of progressive experience in recreation programming, including 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Must possess or obtain (within 12 months) valid CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification from the American Red Cross
- Bachelor s degree in recreation, public/business administration, or a related field
