Job Description
A givernment agency in Los Angeles County is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our Public Works Department. This is a rewarding opportunity for a licensed professional who enjoys managing complex capital improvement projects from initial concept through completion. The ideal candidate is a hands-on project manager who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about enhancing the City s infrastructure and quality of life for residents and visitors.
This position also supports the department in evaluating engineering proposals, reviewing plans and specifications, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring compliance with city, state, and federal regulations.

Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
Experience:
- At least three (3) years of responsible professional experience in civil engineering or a related field.
- Public sector experience is highly desirable.
License/Certificate:
- Valid License or Certificate of Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer (P.E.) is required.
- If licensed in another state, must obtain California P.E. Licensure within three (3) years of employment.
- Valid California Class C Driver s License and acceptable driving record are required.
Special Requirement:
- As a disaster service worker under California Government Code Section 3100, this position may be required to assist in emergency operations during local or statewide emergencies.
