PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR
Job Description
The successful candidate will lead a department responsible for essential infrastructure and services, including engineering, capital projects, streets, sidewalks, traffic operations, right-of-way maintenance, utilities, and contract administration. The Director will play a key role in shaping the City's future through infrastructure investments and the delivery of quality public works services.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field is required.
- A Master s degree in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
Experience:
- A minimum of seven (7) years of increasingly responsible experience in public works operations, engineering, utilities, or municipal infrastructure management.
- At least three (3) years of supervisory or managerial experience is required.
- Experience working in local government or with public-sector capital projects is highly preferred.
Licensure:
- Possession of a valid California Class C Driver s License.
- Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in California is highly desirable.
