Job Description
A city government in San Bernardino County is seeking a collaborative, forward-thinking professional to serve as its next Public Works Director. This key leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to guide vital infrastructure projects and services that enhance the quality of life for the residents, businesses, and visitors of Rialto.
Reporting to the City Manager and Assistant City Manager, the Public Works Director oversees all activities and operations of the Public Works Department, including its two primary divisions: Maintenance & Facilities and Engineering.

Job Requirements
Education:
- A bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, public administration, or a related field
- A master s degree in a related discipline is highly desirable
Experience:
- Six (6) years of increasingly responsible public works experience
- Three (3) years of management and administrative leadership in public works or a related area
Licenses & Certifications:
- A valid California Class C Driver s License and the ability to maintain insurability under the City's vehicle insurance program
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- A bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, public administration, or a related field
- A master s degree in a related discipline is highly desirable
