Job Description

A city government in Santa Barbara County is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Planner to lead and oversee a range of complex planning functions. As the supervisory level in the planner series, the Principal Planner is responsible for directing and reviewing the work of a team of professional planners, handling the most advanced planning assignments, and regularly serving as a key technical advisor to planning commissions and committees.

Job Requirements

Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Planning, Urban Studies, or a related field.

Experience:
