Job Description
As the Principal Civil Engineer, you will lead high-impact capital projects, ensure development compliance with City standards, and provide critical Public Works support to the Planning Department. You ll play a pivotal role in shaping the built environment of Goleta one of California s most beautiful coastal communities.
This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise in civil, drainage, and traffic engineering. The ideal candidate is an experienced project manager who thrives in a collaborative environment and is confident working with elected officials, regulatory agencies, consultants, and the public.

Job Requirements
- A Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university
Experience
- Five (5) years of increasingly responsible professional engineering experience
- Including two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial role
License/Certification
- Registration as a Civil Engineer in the State of California (Required at time of application)
