Job Requirements
Experience:
- Eight (8) years of increasingly responsible human resources management experience in a California municipal agency.
- Five (5) years of management-level experience in labor relations and union negotiations.
- Three (3) years of management experience in risk management functions.
- Previous service as a Director, Assistant Director, or equivalent senior leadership role is required.
Certification: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification is highly desired.
Highly Valued: Knowledge of California collective bargaining laws and public sector HR best practices.
