Job Description
A City Government is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Interim Full Charge Bookkeeper to join its Finance Department. The assignment is for 1-2 months. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of the City s accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting support functions.
- Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist with payroll processing, timesheet verification, and related reporting.
- Enter and reconcile financial data in QuickBooks and other accounting systems.
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions, invoices, and supporting documents.

- Associate s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in a government or municipal setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional attitude.
