Job Description

A government agency in Los Angeles County is seeking a strategic, results-driven Finance Manager/Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and oversee all financial operations of the Finance Department. Reporting directly to the General Manager/CEO, this executive-level position is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and reviewing the activities of the Finance Department including accounting, payroll, financial reporting, and compliance. The CFO serves as a key member of the executive team and provides complex financial guidance and analysis in support of organizational goals and decision-making.

This position also supports the Assistant General Manager/COO and collaborates across departments and with external agencies to ensure fiscal integrity, transparency, and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in financial management, including at least 5 years in a senior-level administrative or management role.
- Public sector experience is highly desirable.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
- A Master s degree in a related field is preferred.

Licenses/Certificates:
- Possession of or ability to obtain a valid California Driver s License.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credential is highly desired.
