A municipal organization in Los Angeles, CA county is in immediate need of a Finance Director to fill a vacancy within the Finance Division. This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week for about 6 months. Compensation is open, DOE/DOQ.

The Finance Director reports directly to the City Manager and plans, develops, implements, organizes, manages, continuously improves, supervises, directs, and evaluates the accounting (general ledger, payroll, grants, A/P and A/R) and budget operations of the agency. Candidates with experience in establishing policies and procedures are highly desired.
Education: A Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business, Public Administration or other closely related field. A Master s degree is desirable.

Experience: Five (5) years increasingly responsible professional level governmental financial management, accounting, budgeting or auditing experience, with an emphasis in business and revenue operations activities, of which at least three (3) years supervising professional-level finance staff. Current or recent experience with a California municipality desirable.
