A city government in Los Angeles County is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Assistant to support the Engineering Division of the Public Works Services Department. As an Engineering Assistant, you ll provide technical and administrative support to engineering staff and play a key role in the review and coordination of public works construction and repair projects. This is an entry-level position, ideal for someone with a solid foundation in civil engineering support work who s ready to build experience in municipal operations.

Job Requirements
- Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in technical engineering support work
- Education/Training: An Associate s degree or equivalent, with specialized coursework in civil engineering, plan review, or permit procedures
- Knowledge of office procedures and computer systems and record-keeping principles
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans (or learn to), understand local, state, and federal regulations and operate standard office equipment and vehicles safely
