Job Description
A city government in Orange County is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as the next Deputy Planning and Building Director. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of one of Southern California s most iconic and dynamic cities. The Deputy Director will lead the Planning Services Division, which includes Current Planning, Advanced Planning and Special Projects, and Planning Information and Permit Services.

Job Requirements
- Experience: Eight (8) years of increasingly responsible experience in urban planning or community development, including four (4) years of supervisory or administrative leadership.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Public Administration, or a related field. A Master s degree is highly desirable.
- License: Valid California Class C driver s license at time of appointment.
- Certification: Possession of AICP (Certified Planner) credential is highly desirable.
