Job Requirements
Education & Knowledge:
- Bachelor s degree in civil engineering or related field
- Strong grasp of civil engineering principles, design standards, and construction methods
- Awareness of recent developments in public infrastructure, planning, and engineering
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in project management and engineering design
- Ability to interpret complex technical documents and prepare accurate cost estimates
- Effective communicator who can represent the City in public and professional forums
- Skilled in conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving
- Excellent time management with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of increasingly responsible civil engineering experience
- Local government experience and familiarity with parks and facilities development strongly preferred
- Budgeting and procurement experience is highly desirable
