Job Description
A government agency in Los Angeles County is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Recreation Leader to help lead its programs. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of local youth through engaging programs, events, and activities.
Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Senior Recreation Leader will coordinate and lead recreational programs, supervise staff and volunteers, and serve as a key liaison between the City and the community. You will support youth programs, oversee registration and facility operations, and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for participants and families.

Job Requirements

- Ability to lead by example and foster a team-oriented work culture
- Comfortable working with diverse populations and managing group dynamics
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old at time of application
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience facilitating youth group activities in a recreational setting
- License: Valid California driver s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Certifications: Must obtain valid CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire (City-approved provider); renewal required as needed
- Ability to lead by example and foster a team-oriented work culture
