Job Description
A City Government in Los Angles County is seeking for its next Community Development Director. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a high-performing department in a city celebrated for its proactive planning, commitment to sustainability, and responsive service delivery. Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Urban Planning or a closely related field is required. A Master s degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or a related field is desirable.
Experience:
-At least seven (7) years of progressively responsible professional experience in municipal planning and community development, including four (4) years in a supervisory or management role.
Desirable Attributes:
- Proven record in large-scale project management and interdepartmental coordination.
- Strong understanding of CEQA, General Plan updates, and land use policy.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance operational detail and long-term vision.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
