CITY MANAGER
Job Description
A City in Imperial County is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and forward-thinking City Manager to lead and oversee all municipal operations and services. Reporting directly to the City Council, the City Manager will serve as the chief executive officer of the City, providing strategic direction, organizational leadership, and policy implementation to ensure efficient, transparent, and responsive local government.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, support, and professional guidance to City departments and staff
- Implement policies and goals established by the City Council
- Oversee City-wide programs, operations, and fiscal management
- Evaluate the performance of assigned personnel
- Serve as a liaison between the City Council and staff, the public, and outside agencies
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in municipal government, including personnel, fiscal, and public relations functions, with six (6) years in an administrative leadership capacity
- Master s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field and eight (8) years of senior-level leadership experience in the public sector
