A local government agency in Los Angeles County is looking for a City Engineer to come on board for about 3 to 6 months. Position available immediately and can become permanent for the right candidate at the clients discreation. Compensation is DOE/DOQ.

Oversees the operation of the Engineering Division activities and programs by setting objectives; and planning, organizing, directing and monitoring the performance of staff. Provides leadership to the Construction Management section to provide inspection, contract administration for permitted work and Capital Improvement projects. Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the engineering division. Develops the annual Capital Improvement Program by identifying short and long term goals and objectives to provide quality infrastructure and implements the Board-adopted Capital Improvement Program.
Minimum of three years of full-time "municipal" experience in project management and supervision of technical/professional personnel. Graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in Civil Engineering. Additional experience directly related to this position may be substituted for required education on a year-for-year basis.

Certification as a registered Professional Civil Engineer by the State of California.
