Job Description

A City Government in Orange County t is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented professional to serve as its next City Clerk a key leadership role that upholds transparency, accountability, and exceptional service in local government. As City Clerk, you ll oversee official records, coordinate municipal elections, and ensure compliance with state and local regulations all while guiding a dedicated team and contributing to a collaborative, high-performance culture.

As City Clerk, you will provide day-to-day leadership for a dedicated team of three full-time and three part-time employees, with an operating budget of $1.1 million. You ll serve on the Executive Management Team and help set department goals that align with the City s strategic vision.

Job Requirements

- Education: Bachelor s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a City Clerk s office, including two (2) years in a supervisory or lead role
- Certification: Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation is preferred or the ability to obtain within one year of appointment
