A government agency in Orange County is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking, and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its Financial and Customer Services Departments. This executive leadership position offers an outstanding opportunity to manage vital finance and customer service operations in a well-respected, high-performing water district.
The CFO plays a key role on the executive team and reports directly to the General Manager, providing leadership and oversight for finance, treasury, budget, accounting, customer service, and risk management functions. With a strong team of 10 FTEs under management, the CFO ensures operational excellence and fiscal stewardship while advancing the organization s commitment to innovation, customer service, and long-term sustainability.

Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in finance, accounting, business/public administration, or a related field.
- Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in financial management and leadership, ideally in a local government or special district environment.
- CPA, MBA, or related advanced degree is highly desirable.
