Job Description

A government agency in Santa Clara County is in need of an Assistant Director of Finance who will serve as a strategic leader, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department and representing the Director of Finance when necessary. This role plays a key part in departmental leadership, organizational coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage operations across all core Finance divisions.
- Represent the Director of Finance in internal and external engagements.
- Foster collaboration and strong relationships across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Support and lead large-scale financial initiatives and system implementations.
- Drive excellence in debt issuance, compliance, revenue management, and grants oversight.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor s degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in financial operations or business management.
