A City Governement in Monterey County is seeking a collaborative, personable, and community-oriented leader with strong municipal management experience and a passion for public service. The Assistant City Manager plays a vital role in supporting the City Manager in implementing City Council goals and priorities while providing leadership across city-wide operations.
The Assistant City Manager will work closely with the City Manager and City Council to advance economic development opportunities, develop innovative city programs, and guide strategic planning and policy development efforts. Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in Public or Business Administration, Public Policy, Finance, or a related field. A Master s degree in Public Administration is preferred.
Experience: At least eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in municipal administration and/or program areas in a public agency, including service as an Assistant City Manager or Department Director.
