Job Description
A city government in Yolo County is seeking a City Manager who will act as the Chief Executive Officer of the City, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight across all City departments and functions. This critical role is responsible for translating City Council direction into action, aligning City operations with the values of integrity, service, inclusion, innovation, and collaboration.
As City Manager, you will serve a vibrant and engaged community and work alongside a talented team of department heads and dedicated staff. You ll help guide Davis through both opportunities and challenges as we continue to advance sustainability, equity, and economic vitality.

Job Requirements
Education:
- A bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, business administration, finance, or a related field
- A master s degree in public administration or a related discipline is preferred
Experience:
- At least eight (8) years of progressively responsible public agency management experience
- Experience as a City Manager, Assistant City Manager, or in a comparable senior executive leadership role
