A Givernement Agency in Ventura County is seeking a collaborative, emotionally intelligent, and service-oriented leader to join our executive team as Assistant City Manager. As the City s Chief Operating Officer, the Assistant City Manager plays a pivotal role in:
- Leading key departments including Human Resources, Risk Management, and the City Clerk s Office
- Overseeing major city projects and operational initiatives
- Supporting staff development and organizational culture
- Representing the City Manager s Office in the community, with elected officials, and with regional partners
- Helping shape policies and programs that keep Moorpark a safe, well-managed, and welcoming city for all

Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor s degree from an accredited four-year college (Master s degree preferred)
Experience: 10 years of progressively responsible municipal government experience, including at least four years of administrative and supervisory responsibility
Traits: Well-rounded knowledge of local government operations, financial acumen, and a track record of building strong relationships with staff, elected officials, and the community
