ACCOUNTANT
Job Description
A government agency in Sonoma County is hiring a an Accountant in the Finance Department to perform a full range of professional accounting duties, including preparing financial statements, reviewing fiscal records, and ensuring compliance with governmental regulations.
What You ll Do:
- Manage financial reporting and accounting for City and Housing Authority operations
- Prepare financial records and statements in accordance with GAAP and governmental accounting standards
- Collaborate across departments to support budgeting and audit readiness
- Provide guidance and indirect supervision to clerical or technical staff

Job Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in accounting or a related field
- 1 2 years of professional accounting experience (governmental accounting preferred)
