A local government agency in Manhattan Beach, CA region need of an Office Assistant for a temporary position within their Administrative Services department. This is a full-time position that should run for 2 months. Compensation is $18 to $20, DOE/DOQ.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides direct administrative and secretarial support to one or more professional, management, and other staff members as required. Composes, reviews, edits, and assembles correspondence, memos, reports, forms, and other documents. Attends a variety of Board Meetings, commissions, community group, staff, and other meetings; take notes and transcribes minutes; assembles and prepares agenda packets; disseminates information to relevant parties.
Three years of progressively responsible secretarial and clerical experience, including administrative support to management or executive level staff. Secretarial and clerical experience in a public agency is required. Experience supporting a public agency governing body and/or commission is desirable.
