A municipal organization in the Los Angeles, CA is in need of an Assistant City Clerk. This is a full-time position to run for 3 months and could transition to a permanent opportunity at the client's discretion. Compensation is open, DOE/DOQ.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the City Clerk's Office with City Council Agenda preparation and postings. Also assist with the coordination and management of local elections.Must have a thorough understanding of the City's Clerk's function within municipal government, the Brown Act, processing official documents, public notices, and the agenda process.
Experience of 2 or more years in the City Clerk or City Manager's office is a must. Designation as a Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) is desirable. California Notary Public Commission certification is desirable.
