SENIOR MANAGEMENT ANALYST

-BUDGET: Assisting in preparation of department s annual budget; tracking and analyzing Departments Operating Budget and Work Program throughout the year; preparing reports;
-AGENDA ITEMS & STAFF REPORTS: Performing research and preparing agenda reports for items going before Council; including assisting in drafting of Ordinances and Resolutions; may be required to attend Council meetings and present agenda items and staff reports;
-PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Coordinating projects related to public works administration as assigned, requires frequent interaction with Division level management in Public Works and other departments;
-PUBLIC INFORMATION: Updating and maintaining Department web pages and public information.
-ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT TO DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR: Provide administrative support to the Public Works Director/Chief Engineer including research, report writing, grant writing and management, correspondence, email management, accurate note taking and preparation of minutes for Council su.committee meetings. Represent Department Director at meetings as assigned.
Typical way: Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration and two (2) years professional administrative work in a local government
