An government organization in Alameda County, CA area is looking for a Planning Manager to fill a position in the Planning Division. This is a full-time or part -time contract position working for 3+ months and could become permanent at the client's discretion. Compensation is DOE/DOQ.
This position supervises and guides all Planning and Community Preservation Staff and serves as the Community Development Director in his/her absence.
Equivalent to a Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in city, urban, or environmental planning, architecture, or a field related to the area of assignment. An applicable Master s degree is desirable.
Five years of planning related experience, this includes two years project management or supervisory experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid Class C California driver s license and a satisfactory driving record.
Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, and to attend meetings days and evening, at various sites within and away from the City and to inspect various work, building or construction sites; strength to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 25 pounds.
