An super great organization in Placer County, CA is in need of a temporary Payroll Technician for a unfilled vacancy within the Finance Division. This is a part-time job working for roughly 6+ months and can at the clients discretion be extended or made permanent. Compensation is open, DOE/DOQ.

Analyzes data and time records submitted by departments and resolves inconsistencies to ensure conformance with appropriate agency policies and regulations, memoranda of understanding, salary resolutions, State and Federal payroll law and retirement system requirements; verifies salary adjustments and retroactive paybacks for agency employees.
Executes payroll runs; reviews edit documents, corrects errors and balances payroll for each pay period; compiles routine reports related to payroll activity; posts payroll adjustments to the general journal, as necessary.
Education equivalent to an Associate of Arts degree in accounting, bookkeeping, business or finance; and two years of work experience in accounting, bookkeeping, business or finance, preferably in payroll processing for a public agency;
