An established organization in the Riverside County region is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join its Administration Department to fill a position vacancy for 3+ months. This is full-time position and can be extended or made permanent at clients discretion. Compensation is DOE/DOQ.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Under limited supervision, performs technical and complex accounting work in the preparation and maintenance of an automated payroll system, and other financial and statistical records and reports; may require implementation of technical accounting principles and procedures; performs related duties as required.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Education equivalent to an Associate of Arts degree in accounting, bookkeeping, business or finance; and two years of work experience in accounting, bookkeeping, business or finance, preferably in payroll processing for a public agency;
-OR-
Four years of work experience in accounting, bookkeeping, business or finance, preferably in payroll processing for a public agency. Up to one year of college coursework in accounting, bookkeeping, business or finance may be substituted for the required experience on the basis of one year of education for one year of experience.
