POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, performs a variety of professional and technical administrative functions and responsibilities within the Human Resources Division including the areas of: recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, benefit administration, employee development, workers' compensation, liability/property/casualty programs, labor and employee relations, risk and safety assessment and performing related duties as required.
Some knowledge of: Principles and methods of administrative practices and procedures for recruitment and selection, including recruitment advertising and interviewing, city-wide payroll administration, and general personnel operations.
Ability to: Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive personnel information; maintain accurate records; collect and evaluate data; perform mathematical calculations; prepare reports and correspondence; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the general public.
