A government organization in Kern County, CA is looking for a HR Director to fill a vacancy within the HR Department. This is a full-time position working for at least 2+ months and can very likely become temp-to-hire. Compensation is DOE/DOQ.

Under general direction, directs the activities of the Human Resources Department; develops plans, goals, and objectives for the Department; advises the General Manager on matters pertaining to departmental functions; serves as a member of the Agency s Executive Team; and performs related work as required.
A Bachelor s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Business or Public Administration, Industrial Relations, Human Resources, or a related field is required. A Master s Degree in Business or Public Administration, or a related field, is preferred. Professional Certifications in the Human Resources field are desirable.

A minimum of seven years of extensive, progressively responsible administrative and supervisory experience in management or administration, including a minimum of five years of supervisory experience in a full-service human resources and labor relations program with responsibility for program planning and development, supervision of professional, technical, and clerical staff, and budget preparation and management, within a comparable public or private sector organization; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.
