A government organization in Riverside County, CA is looking for a Fleet Maintenance Manager to fill a vacancy within the Fleet Division. This is a full-time position working for at least 3+ months and could become extended or temp-to-hire at the clients discretion. Compensation is DOE/DOQ.

Manage the work of the agency's automotive equipment maintenance and repair division;
Implement a comprehensive automotive and equipment maintenance and repair program;
Develop and manage fleet replacement program;
Recommend policy and program changes to provide an effective agency fleet;
Assign, review and evaluate work of assigned personnel and subcontractors;
Develop and manage the automotive operation and maintenance budget and implement actions such that division goals and objectives are accomplished;
Maintain legal records related to fleet vehicles, and ensure fleet operations are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
Develop and maintain systematic procedures of preventive maintenance for vehicles and equipment;
Manage a computerized fleet management system;
Work with automotive and equipment users, other agency divisions and departments;
Coordinate the resolution of inquiries, complaints, problems, or emergencies affecting the availability or quality of fleet services;
Develop and oversee contracts for outside repair of equipment;
Education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, Automotive Management or a related field, and
Three (3) years experience in automotive maintenance/repair service and/or management, including at least two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Experience using computerized fleet management systems is desirable.
