An exciting government organization in Los Angeles County, CA is looking for an Associate Planner who will serve on an interim basis within the Planning Department. This is a full-time position with a duration of at least 2+ months and can become permanent at the clients discretion. Compensation is DOE/DOQ.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
-Process planning applications.
-Prepare environmentals.
-Prepare staff reports.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in urban planning, public administration, architecture, economics, geography or related field. A master s degree in a related field is preferred.
Experience in the field of city planning or closely related field. Municipal planning experience is preferred.

LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATE:
Certification by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) is desirable.
Possession or the ability to obtain a valid Class C California Driver's License
