Provides direct administrative and secretarial support to one or more professional, management, and other staff members as required.
Composes, reviews, edits, and assembles correspondence, memos, reports, forms, and other documents, including those of a confidential nature, to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with policies and procedures for assigned staff and projects as assigned.
Attends a variety of City Council, commission, community group, staff, and other meetings; take notes and transcribes minutes; assembles and prepares agenda packets; disseminates information to relevant parties.
Conducts research and compiles information into requested formats such as reports, memos, or presentations pertaining to departmental operations and activities.
Graduation from high school or its equivalent.
Three years of progressively responsible secretarial and clerical experience. Secretarial and clerical experience in a public agency is desirable. Experience supporting a public agency governing body and/or commission is desirable.
LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATE:
Depending upon assignment, possession of or ability to obtain a valid California Driver's License, and a satisfactory driving record may be required.
